Liam's big day

Saturday was Liam's first soccer game. He was so excited. His previous two games had been cancelled due to weather. This time the game was on schedule and the rain didn't come until the end of the game. Then all of the sudden it started pouring, thundering and lightening. You want to see kids clear some fields with a quickness...so let there be thunder!

Liam did so well. There are only two boys on his team out six players (Jarom's totally against coed) and Liam, at first, kept trying to take the ball from Jeremiah his teammate. We explained to him not to take it from his own team and try passing. I know, these are only five years old kids who have never played previously. Either way, Liam starts yelling, "Pass it! Pass it! Can you hear me?" These kids are too funny. When I just put my camera away Liam stole the ball from the other team, kicked as hard as he could down the field, and then ran past every kid to get to the ball and GOOOAAAALLLL! Figures I would have put the camera away. It made Liam's day.

The final score was a tie 4-4. They don't actually keep score but these are my boys and they are competitive. You better bet Liam kept score the entire time. Until next time GOOOOO Soccer Stars!

Jarom, Hyrum, and the not-so-happy Tipton at the game.

We love soccer...and even though Jarom is against co-ed, I bet Sophia may be able to hold her own...she has a few more years of practice.

We love those break away plays...the kids get SO excited...so fun!

I love this soccer blog! When Gavin played his first year he had just turned 3. It was coed also. There was a girl on his team running around playing in her saggy soaking wet diaper, yuck! Gavin kept wondering why he had a baby on his team. Sounds like Liam has the families soccer skills too!! Go Liam!
