Rocky Top

Warning: this update might seem inappropriate for those that find anything about Tennesse a bad word or the color orange sensitive to their eyes. That would be most of my family.

It is football time here in the good ol' south and though we are Georgia fans, we have to face the fact that we are living in Big Orange Country or Rocky Top territory. Whichever you prefer.

This year Liam's music class did their program with a variety of songs. Some were about harvest and fall but who can think about this time without thinking about football? So Liam's class sang a few patriotic and football songs including the Tennessee fight song. It guess there comes a time that we were going to have to accept that he learn these songs! Wink. Wink. Actually we like Rocky Top. Fear not brothers Georgia's still on my mind and in my heart.

I don't know why I couldn't get these pics to turn out. I tried different settings on my camera but nothing seem to help. Those kids all look like creepy critters!

The hard part of the program was that his teacher asked all the students to wear orange and white. Luckily our neighbors had given Liam some TN hand-me-downs because he would have been the odd ball out. He told his teacher that wearing that sweatshirt was a one-time thing.

The greatest part about the program is Liam LOVES to sing and had a part in the program singing with two other boys. He did a super job and worked so hard memorizing his parts. We are very proud of him.
