Four, Four, I Want More!

Somebody turned FOUR in our house . . Marshall, and he was very excited to say the least!
First thing in the morning greeting everyone with "Happy Birthday!"

I got the "Mom of the Year" award for taking him to the doctor to get shots on his birthday.
I'm mean, but there has been a Measles breakout due to stupid, incompetent parents in this country and Marshall was due for his Measles booster.  I was not missing that. . .and Bret was due his 1 year shots.  Okay, it was very convenient for me.  Do whatcha gotta do (said in my awesome Jersey accent).
Everything turned out fine.  The shots were quick and as a treat they gave him two free ice cream cone coupons.  After the doctor I took him to his favorite place, McDonald's and got him a sausage biscuit.  It's one of his favorites.  He was healed instantly. :)

Marshall wanted everyone at his party but since we celebrated on his actual birthday, in the middle of the week, it just wasn't going to work.  When his eyes lit up with all the presents all was forgiven.  He was all about the presents this year.  You know, that age where they kind of expect gifts and they want EVERYTHING.  Yeah, that would Marshall.

Marshall is all about the outdoors, as in, WORKING outdoors.  He's always got to go "work."  There are days I will find him outside, freezing cold, in his Power Ranger costume, mowing the grass with his toy lawn mower.  Excuse me, push mower.  Marshall will correct you.

Marshall follows Jarom everywhere when he's working outside.  He loves to help his daddy, even if it means just picking up rocks.  He's there!

For his birthday this year, Marshall wanted homemade pizza, chocolate cake and ice cream.  He picked Cotton Candy, Cookies and Cream, and Peanut Butter Swirl ice cream.  Celeste and her boys were able to make it to the celebration.

Our tradition of picking out a balloon for your birthday at the Dollar Tree.  Yes, he chose a cupcake and Frozen.  No shame.

Zach and Hyrum wrapped Marshall's presents for me.  They used two different wrapping paper and black duct tape.

He was hoping to get a orange blower with the weed eater.  He has no concept that we have a budget, of course. He told Celeste she was suppose to get the orange blower.  He will not accept it from anyone else.

Marshall is one fun, little guy.  He drives us absolutely crazy with his screams but makes us constantly smile with all the funny things he says.  He has finally come around to lovin' his momma again, but Daddy is his favorite.  He loves to play games and have undivided attention.  He will take any opportunity to go stay the night with his grandparents or cousins' house.  He loves his tools and working outsideMcDonald's is his favorite place to eat.  Orange is his favorite color.  He loves to get on AmazonPrime/Netflix to watch Power Rangers, Daniel Tiger and Backyardigans.  He likes playing on anyone's tablet or phone and Sesame Street on the computer.  He can now count to 10 and read his numbers to 10.  He has horrible eating habits.  He loves to have books read to him but most of the time wants to read them to you and give his own version of the story.  He's stubborn!  He has become a good trooper with all my errands.  He is at peace cruising in his John Deere power wheel.

His favorite things to say:
Darney (instead of darn it)
Holy Cow
Awesome and Amazing
Loser
My name's not Marsha ( he can thank his dad for that)

Marsha. . .I mean Marshall, we love you and very happy to have your in our family!  Happy Birthday!
