First Day Back

This was our first day back to church.  It was different.  Very different.  But it was nice.

I was another nice change to get back to getting up, ready and needing to be somewhere.  There were about 30 people there, but it seemed like even less.

Sister Tidwell made all the Aaronic Priesthood matching mask with temple fabric to administer the sacrament.  It made it very nice and the young men always do a good job at trying to follow all the "rules" to protect us from the virus.  They wear their gloves and the water cups go in a separate bag when we are finished.

I must say we didn't do a very good job at not socializing after church.  We did just the opposite.  Everyone wanted to visit!  I think we all knew that was really going to happen.  Us adults leave the wiping down and sanitizing of everything to the youth while we visit. :)

Sacrament meeting was short and sweet.  Probably under an hour.  Trying to sing the hymns with a mask was tricky and it was hard not to touch your mask to pull it away from your mouth while singing.  The funniest part was the very first hymn was "How Great Thou Art."  All the hymn books have been put away with the virus and we have to use Gospel Library to access our hymns.  "How Great Thou Art" is a copyright song that wasn't in the app.  Poor Sister Tidwell was just up there singing a solo by the second verse because no one had a clue of the words.  I tried to pull it up on the internet but there are quite a few variations so that didn't work great.  Finally, they just ended the hymn.  It gave us all something to laugh about.  Note:  check the copyright!

Sometimes our Sundays seem long and it was nice to fill the time with being back at church.

To end the day, Bret lost his first tooth, officially (he's had two missing for a while that had to be pulled).  This was the normal way and he was so excited.  It was quite a bloody mess.
