Double Digits for Marshall!

 Marshall is 10!!!

Life with Marshall is definitely an adventure.  
He's our Jekkly and Hyde.  
He can be in the best of moods to the worst of moods in less than five minutes.

 
 Usually home is an outlet from everyday school days but Marshall it may be the opposite.  
He doesn't love school but he loves his friends...probably more than his family.  
I say this half-jokingly. 

 
He gets so nervous about a lot of things but meeting new people is not one of them.  
He is a friend-making machine!

Marshall loves 

football, 

soccer, 

playing with his friends in the neighborhood,

and playing outside when he can.

He loves to read the I Survived series books, 

and he loves history.

For his birthday this year, he wanted to invite his friend Beau to come play for the afternoon after school...and then he invited the neighbors...for dinner.  It was a table full and I have to say it was a joyful scene.  Marshall was so excited.  He was sad Papa and Grandmother couldn't come (Papa has been gravely ill from COVID) and he was going to Grandma and Grandpa's the next day.  It was a good day.

For his requested meal he actually wanted Chicken Bundles but we had that a few days before to start our fast so he went with his other favorite Chicken Pot Pie.  This is Marney's recipe and he loves it!  It's great for a nice cold day, which was oddly not this day.  It was still yummy!  He also asked for garlic noodles and Daddy's awesome Ooey-Gooey bars for dessert.

Marshall loves Reeses cups and got LOTS for his birthday--almost 100!

You know COVID has had an effect on your children when they ask for a new style mask for their birthday.  Asking for a blazer was a bit of a surprise, he seems to be gaining his own sense of style.

We didn't have a zero candle and I didn't feel like making a zero with small candles (bad mom, I know).  We just had the zero represented as nothing...get it? :)
