The Titanic

Of the many "to do" items before we move, going to the Titanic museum was one of them. 
It's only about a year and half too late past Tipton's Titanic obsession (see here).  He was still excited to go.
It was feeling of mixed emotions for me.  It was fascinating and amazing to see all the artifacts and lifestyle back then.  It was interesting all the things you learned.  The museum had lots of detail in design as you progressed through and you got a real feeling of what it was like on the ship.  It was sad seeing all these faces and reading stories knowing that many of them didn't survive. 
Each family member was given a card at the beginning of the tour.  Each card had an actual passenger aboard the Titanic.  You read about your character and followed their story.  In the end there a beautiful glass memorial of names of survivors and non-survivors.  All of us were first-class passengers except Jarom and Marshall.  They did not survive.  It kind of pulled at my heart and put a little lump in my throat.
With all that being said, I'm glad we went.  It had some really neat things that we will always remember.
